Background

With the aging of the population and the rising incidence of chronic diseases, the demand for pharmaceuticals continues to grow globally. Russia, as one of the most important countries in the world, has a huge potential demand for pharmaceuticals. According to the statistics in recent years, the number of hospitals in Russia is about 5,200, with 80 hospital beds per 10,000 people, and the average number of people who visit the hospitals each year is 2.2 billion. However, the development of the local pharmaceutical industry has not yet been able to meet this demand. Therefore, the organization of international pharmaceutical exhibition and ordering fair can not only introduce advanced foreign pharmaceutical products and technologies, but also promote cooperation between domestic and foreign enterprises, and jointly develop the medical and pharmaceutical market in Russia, the former CIS countries, and even the Eastern European region.

The CAMIX24 is born in this context, and domestic medical and pharmaceutical entrepreneurs, experts and consultants are cordially invited to participate in it. The exhibitors and their products will be selected for inclusion in the key purchasing pool of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Federal Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. Heads of other Russian support units and institutions will also be present on the site, conduct procurement negotiations and business cooperation, and provide priority support for licensing and certification.

The order will organize more than 30 special product presentations and company roadshows, and targeted invitation to buyers to participate in the exhibition to promote exhibitors’ product sales during the exhibition, to reach a more comprehensive and in-depth order cooperation. In addition to the normal exhibition schedule, the exhibition will also arrange visits to Russian target customer groups, potential cooperative enterprises and buyers according to the needs of exhibitors.

The CAMIX24 is organized by the market demand, policy support, industrial innovation and international exchanges. It not only provides a platform for China’s pharmaceutical industry to display and trade, but also an important milestone to promote the cooperation and development of Chinese and Russian pharmaceuticals.

Strategic Objectives

(i) The CAMIX24 is the result of China’s inherent need for innovation and leadership and the development of new quality productivity in health care, and the mutually compatible and complementary outcome of Russia’s strategic national development intention of shifting to the east, with the aim of deepening the comprehensive co-operation between China and Russia in the field of medical science, establishing a digital health service network with Russia, realizing the rapid proliferation of new quality productivity and resource sharing, and helping to improve and upgrade the quality of Russia’s national health care system,. We will work together to build a human health community and make useful contributions to the well-being and physical and mental health of the people of China and Russia;

(ii) Based on the spirit of the “Belt and Road” initiative put forward by the Chinese Government, make full use of the “Healthy Silk Road” and other regional multilateral cooperation platforms to expand international cooperation in health science and technology, and explore cooperation between hospitals and medical product manufacturers in the two countries. We will also explore cooperation between hospitals and medical product manufacturers of the two countries, and jointly build medical exchange centres, medical schools, hospitals and special medical centres;

(iii) Promoting the Russian side to deepen its understanding of China’s medical and pharmaceutical industries, facilitating the inclusion of relevant Chinese enterprises and products in Russia’s national procurement list, or obtaining sales licences or certifications in Russia, and establishing sales channels in the Russian market for Chinese pharmaceutical enterprises;

(iv) Increase academic exchange activities between the medical and healthcare sectors of China and Russia, undertake relevant training and education programmes, and accept or send foreign students to each other;

(v) Exploring the harmonisation of the healthcare market certification systems for the medical sector in both countries, including qualification of professional physicians, medical diplomas, licensing of medical products (including Chinese medicine, medical devices, etc.), etc;

(vi) Russia’s latest industrial development plan has placed priority on emergency rescue products, and the fair hopes to take advantage of China’s strengths in this industry to promote the development and construction of emergency rescue equipment in Russia.
